The Hyphenated-Americans Film Festival will feature 11 films about Americans with intersecting identities informing their unique experiences. The history of the term “hyphenated-American” is complex and was even used by some throughout history as a derogatory term. The complexity of this issue is what this festival will explore. And it is Americans’ complex, rich identities, no matter how individuals choose to describe themselves, that our festival will celebrate. This festival includes films ranging from documentaries and dramas to a comedy special. We hope you will join us in celebrating the diversity that is so vital to the American experience.
