Through the power of music, storytelling and tan suspenders, Fundamentally Sound has captured national attention as UW-Madison’s all-male competitive a cappella group. Founded in 2005, Fundamentally Sound continues to push the boundaries of collegiate a cappella with thought-provoking musical arrangements and high-energy performances. Fundamentally Sound, or FS, performs anywhere between coffeehouses and football stadiums, social gatherings, weddings, and university events. FS also partakes in international competitions and as recently as last year, took home the prize of 2nd best in the Midwest and won best arrangement for Bang Bang. FS has had the pleasure of leading workshops for student groups around the Midwest as well as singing with professional groups such as Home Free and Six Appeal. This fall show is very special for many reasons. For starters, Fundamentally Sound just celebrated its 10 year anniversary. In addition, FS just raised enough money to continue recording their 3rd studio album, which will be released some time next year. And lastly, we always put a great twist on our shows and rumor has it…this year's will be spooky.
