Flavors of the World: Identities in Transition

Tuesday, November 15
6:30 - 8:30 pm
Cost: Free
Come join us as we learn about the diversity in refugee experiences and enjoy some delicious food!

Join WUD Global ConnectionsWUD Cuisine and International Student Services at UW-Madison at our Flavors of the World as we learn about Syrian, Tibetan, and Hmong cultures. This Flavors of the World hopes to bring light to the diversity in refugee experiences, the history behind these refugee movements, and resilience movements within different refugee communities. Food is one way that refugee and immigrant families express their culture and share memories from home, so we will serve a dish following each speaker.

This event is free and open to UW-Madison students, staff, faculty, Union members and their guests. Please bring your Wiscard and/or union membership card. Although we welcome all who are interested, due to limited space and food we ask that those who come try their best to stay the whole time, and if you must leave, please do so quickly and quietly in respect to the speakers, who may be sharing personal stories.
