College Democrats of UW-Madison in collaboration with WUD Society and Politics will be hosting a US Senate Candidate Forum for students, staff, and members of the UW-Madison Community. This forum will be featuring the Democratic candidates for the US Senate Primary coming up in August. Though this event features Democratic candidates, it’s intent is non-partisan: to promote civic engagement and give students the opportunity to interact with their current and future leaders. During the forum, the candidates will be answering questions and talking about their vision of Wisconsin as a US Senator and their policy agendas. After the forum, students will be able to individually network and connect with the candidates and their staff. We hope for this event to be an engaging and informative experience for all those attending and most importantly, raise awareness regarding the critical Midterm election ahead of us.
Candidates in attendance:
Mandela Barnes
Sarah Godlewski
Alex Lasry
Gillian Battino
Steven Olikara
Peter Peckarsky
Tom Nelson
Jeff Rumbaugh
