Please join us to hear former badger, Lisa Rickert, speak about: “The Consequences of Torture: The USS Cole case in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba” This event is open to the public and a part of the WUD: Society and Politics – “Wisconsin Alumni Lecture Series” – a series which invites successful alumni to speak about their professional journey to the leaders of tomorrow.


Lisa Rickert is an Alum of UW-Madison and graduated with a Master of Science in Social Work from the University in 1996. She is a Certified Social Worker in the State of Wisconsin and has worked professionally in the Juvenile Justice and Criminal Justice Systems for over 25 years. Mrs. Rickert has been in private practice since September 1997 and works mainly on death penalty mitigation and defense-initiated victim outreach.
