Address and move past tense situations with simple tools to facilitate conflict resolution in a wilderness environment.

Have you ever been on a trip where tension has existed between leaders or participants? Have you struggled to know what to do in these situations to address and move past this friction? This course will talk about what we can do as outdoor recreation organization leaders to address and move past tense situations with simple tools to facilitate conflict resolution in a wilderness environment. 

Upon completion of this class, participants will:

  • Learn steps to actively listen to others
  • Be introduced a model for successful conflict resolution
  • Role play hypothetical situations to practice
