Join Ilana Schroeder for a free & unticketed pre-concert lecture at 6pm at Inn Wisconsin. The pre-concert performance by Sonora Strings begins in Shannon Hall at 7pm.
Ilana R. Schroeder received a bachelor’s degree in viola performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, a master’s degree in music history from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and a Ph.D. in historical musicology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a dissertation focusing on Parisian music of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. Her current research focuses on issues of translation/movement of music and bodies in the Middle Ages as well as the relationship between community, identity, and exclusion. She currently works as an editor at the music publisher A-R Editions.
