USA | 75 min | NR | 35mm | Dir. James Whale
After witnessing a discussion of about very idea of “The Bride of Frankenstein” between Mary Shelley, Peter Shelley and Lord Byron the film picks up right where “Frankenstein” left off. The monster (Boris Karloff) has survived the inferno that ended the first film and returns to wreak havoc upon the village. Meanwhile, Dr. Frankenstein has also survived and is now being led by the strange Dr. Praetorius to continue the ungodly experiments he had done in the first film. Again, the lives of the scientist and his monster intersect in ways that are both thrilling and ultimately tragic.
