Wise Jennings is a two-piece theatrical-Americana band comprised of husband-and-wife Jeff and Melissa. Don’t let the two-piece thing fool you. Ask anyone who has heard/watched Wise Jennings and they’ll attest to how hard these two bring it. Never wanting to duplicate another band, Wise Jennings has created a style of songwriting and performing that is totally unique to them. No fancy story about coming from some well-known part of the country with roots in the blah blah blah. Melissa and Jeff are just two married folks, from regular families in northern Wisconsin, with kids, living the thing referred to as life, who have realized a gift for being authentic. Wise Jennings doesn’t belong to a genre, and they don’t want to. They take you on a journey guided by music that explores all the drama, beauty, and mystery of life. The story of Wise Jennings is that these two did not start playing music with each other until six years ago. In that time, they released five albums, been invited to play some of the region’s most well knows festivals and venues and made a name for themselves as up-and-coming original artists in the Midwest.
