Join us in celebrating the opening of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Pop-Up Exhibition: An immersive, visual breakdown of the development of Nazism in Germany, the barbaric nature of German occupation of Poland and the horrific history of the camp. Established originally to incarcerate Polish prisoners, in 1942 the camp became the largest site of the extermination of the Jews and consequently, the symbol of Holocaust.
This important pop-up exhibition will be held in Gallery 1308 at Union South from 6 - 8 pm on Monday, November 11th.
Hosted by the Wisconsin Union Directorate Art Committee, the Polish Heritage Club of Wisconsin - Madison, and the Department of German, Nordic and Slavic, with support from the UW Center for Jewish Studies.
