Create an abstract impasto painting! Layer paints and scrap them across your canvas for 3D effect.

Learn the oh-so-satisfying scraping technique to create an abstract impasto painting. You’ll layer paints and scrape them across your canvas for 3D effect. You don’t need any experience - basic painting techniques will be presented in an easy-to-understand workshop environment.

 

Art Lab at Wheelhouse

A zero-pressure workshop for UW-Madison students! Art Lab is perfect for beginners, each free workshop features a different project and is an introduction to techniques and materials. Space is limited to 20 students.


Taylor Franklin, Co-Director of Wheelhouse Studios and UW-Madison Alum (M.A. in Art Education, Art Ed. Teaching License), is a professional artist, dancer, and educator. Join her for light-hearted, non-intimidating art instruction
