ACS: Campus Activism

Join us at Afternoon Conversation Series (ACS) for an interesting conversation! ACS is a facilitated weekly experience put on by WUD Global Connections where you can engage in friendly conversations over different interactive themes presented each week.

This week our topic of discussion will be "Campus Activism"

As ACS comes to an end, we would like to put it into perspective and see how effective events like ACS and organizations like WUD in promoting dialogue on campus? Does UW expose students to varying ideas or does it reinforce students opinions? Should UW provide safe spaces for political ideology or should it force its students to gain a perspective on both sides?

Join us with Prof. Janet C Gilmore in exploring this important and extremely relevant topic on a relaxing Friday afternoon while making some new friends. FREE Refreshments are served on a first-come, first-served basis each week—come early to ensure your treat!

Our events are open to UW students, faculty and staff as well as Union members and their guests.
