Please join Drs. Richard Miller, Allan Ajaya, and Nicholas Cozzi for a conversation about psychedelic medicines; audience participation and discussion is sought and encouraged. Together, we will review the science and clinical uses of psychedelic medicines such as psilocybin, LSD, and mescaline. We will discuss how these agents have helped us better understand brain chemistry and function, their abilities to promote healing of psychological trauma, and their potential to increase creativity and awareness.
The University of Wisconsin - Madison has been conducting research into the benefits of taking psilocybin, an active ingredient in "magic mushrooms." Though technically an illegal substance, this drug has been used to help treat people for a variety of ailments.
