Who Can Take Mini Courses? To enroll in Mini Courses you must be:

What About Refunds?
Full refund of course fees if we cancel a course for any reason. IF YOU REQUEST A REFUND, A $5.00 FEE WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM YOUR REFUND. TO RECEIVE A REFUND, NOTICE MUST BE RECEIVED BY OUR OFFICE THREE (3) BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS MEETING. No refunds for inability to attend published rain dates. Refund of Introductory Membership fees requires return of Membership Card. Web-based registration convenience fees are NOT REFUNDABLE in any circumstance. Refunds for fees paid by cash or check can take up to 4 weeks to process. Refunds for fees paid by credit card are credited to your account immediately. Receipts will not be mailed for credit card or web-based refunds. Please consult your monthly credit card statement for confirmation of refund.

What About Transfers and Rain Checks?
Transfers and Rain Checks are possible up to three business days prior to the starting date of any course. A $5.00 FEE IS ASSESSED for transferring or requesting a Rain Check. No Rain Checks will be issued after second class session for multiple session courses. One-session and individual lesson courses require three business day minimum prior to class start date for Transfer or Rain Check requests.

What is a Rain Check?
Instead of a Refund or Transfer you can have your course fees put on account for future Mini Course registrations. The Rain Check can be applied to future registrations, including web registrations. A $5.00 FEE IS ASSESSED for a Rain Check. Rain Checks are good towards any Mini Course, FOR ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF ISSUE. Rain Check requests must be called or emailed to the Mini Course office, Rain Checks cannot be processed via the web site.

Returned Checks
A $30.00 fee is due on any returned check.

What About Children in Mini Courses?
Mini Courses is an lifelong education program designed for adult learners. Participants must be 18 years old to enroll in a Mini Course. Enrollees who are 16 or 17 years old may participate with concurrent paid registration and attendance by a parent/legal guardian. Children under 16 years of age are only allowed to enroll with parent/guardian in courses specifically designated “parent and child" in the course description. For liability reasons, there are no exceptions to this policy. Thank you for your understanding

What about parking on campus?
Please check our Parking Information Page. If you have questions about the availability or pricing of specific lots on the UW-Madison campus, please contact Transportation Services at 263-6666 or check the Transportation Services website. The Mini Course program is not responsible for parking fees or citations incurred by participants. Please remember to check the signage posted in all lots for appropriate parking regulations. If you are not presently eligible then take advantage of our special $30 Introductory Membership and indulge yourself in Mini Courses for the next six months. This offer is for new members ONLY and valid only with simultaneous course registration. The Introductory Membership comes with all the privileges of the Union membership (except the Affiliate option). At the end of the six months you can upgrade your membership for the remaining six months for only $20! You can apply for the Introductory Membership during the checking out process on this web site.

OR Become an Annual Member...
Only $50, with fees credited towards your life membership. Call 262-2263 with MC/Visa or stop by Room 410, Memorial Union, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Membership entitles one to all current privileges of the Union set forth by the Union Council, the governing board of the Wisconsin Union. Applicants must be age 18 or older. Membership cards issued upon receipt of fee and acceptance by the Council.
