Your Union membership gets you a whole lot more than access to the Union and the ability to buy food and drinks at our restaurants and delis. Learn more about the many benefits of your Union membership, and start using it to its fullest potential.

Free room rentals for social events – Planning a wedding or birthday party? Union members can reserve rooms in the Union free of charge for social events. In-house Catering is also available.

Food and drink – Your membership card allows you to purchase burgers from Der Rathskeller, pitchers for the Terrace and so much more from the Union’s 14 restaurants, cafes, and delis located across campus.
Discounts – Members get special discount rates on many Union purchases, including items at the Essentials Store, Outdoor Rentals and much more.

Live bands – Check out free music from alternative to jazz to R&B weekends on the Terrace or in Der Rathskeller.

Union Theater – Take in world-renowned speakers and musicians at this historic venue located in the Memorial Union. Union members get early notification of events as well as seating preference for most theater events.

Art – View art throughout the Union and in the Porter Butts art gallery, Madison’s oldest gallery.
Film and Lecture series – Each year, students in the Wisconsin Union Directorate bring distinguished speakers and popular films to the Union. Many events are free and members are always welcome.

Hoofers – Join one or more of six Hoofer Outdoor Clubs, including Mountaineering, Outing, Riding, Sailing, SCUBA, and Ski & Snowboard, open to members of all skill levels.

Outdoor Rentals – Rent canoes, croquet sets, tents, and a variety of other outdoor gear and go exploring!

Mini Courses - Improve a skill a learn a new one with the wide range of non-credit classes (everything from photography to cooking) open exclusively to members.

Craftshop – As a member you gain access to the Union’s full-service art studio located at Memorial Union, where you can throw pottery, make jewelry, develop photographs, and much more. Art supplies are also available to members at discount prices.

Union Hotel rooms – Rent a room for yourself or visitors right inside Memorial Union. Room rates start around $60 for Union members!

Badger Bash – Enjoy Badger gameday festivities, temporarily on Engineering Mall and relocating to the new south campus Union in 2011.

Newsletters – Stay up-to-date on Union happenings with Terrace Views publications, Mini Course catalogues and Theater e-newsletters. Annual members receive all pieces while Lifetime members can choose the pieces they want.

New south campus Union in 2011- Members will have full access to the new south campus Union and all the new benefits that come with it when it opens in Spring 2011.
