Central Reservations

Food Services

From a simple refreshment break to an elegant multi-course meal, the Union is happy to take care of the catering needs for your event. We also have several restaurants and delis within the Memorial Union, where your attendees can make their own selections or you can arrange for a carry-out order. Your Central Reservations representative will assist you in selecting the best option for your event. You will also find more information below about: catering, restaurants/delis, Wiscard.

Great Hall CateringCatering
The meal can make the event, and the Union will make yours shine! Be it a tailgate barbeque, executive dinner or wedding reception, our catering department will prepare and serve a delicious menu, personalized to your event. Catering service is available in both Union buildings, as well as at other campus and non-campus locations. Our standard menus are available for your perusal on our catering web site, and we will be happy to discuss any special requests. Central Reservations will work with you to plan and place your order. (Note: Orders should be placed at least 3 weeks prior to your event.)

Restaurants and Delis
A quick and easy option for many smaller meetings is to place a carry-out order from our Deli's for a selection of sandwiches, chips, beverages and desserts. We have three Deli locations on campus in addition to those in the Union buildings - find the most convenient Deli location and review the carry-out menu, or work with Central Reservations to submit your order. (Note: Orders should be placed at least 5 business days prior to your event. Approval by the Deli Division is required prior to confirming order.)

If you prefer to not serve a pre-selected meal at your event, The Union has several answers for you. At Memorial Union, your attendees can select from grilled specials, salads and made-to-order sandwiches in Der Rathskeller. They can also grab a ready-to-go sandwich or even some Babcock ice cream at the Daily Scoop Deli.

Wiscard
Want your event attendees to choose their own meal, but not pay out-of-pocket? We can do that! Wiscard is a debit card program utilized by all of the Union food service locations. While UW students and staff use their campus ID's as their Wiscard, Central Reservations can create special, limited use Wiscards just for your attendees. Dates of use, dollar amounts and eligible food service locations can all be programmed onto the cards. You simply hand them out and let your guests help themselves.

Members and guests may purchase Union Gift Cards at Memorial Union or online at the Terrace Store.
